I have to admit, I only ever saw the old town of Chur, but found it very welcoming and had an absolute riot. Now I feel awful that you took my advice and had a lousy time. Bruges is indeed lovely, but it's rather sedate, and several countries distant from Switzerland. eek. And on the way back to the station, the guy that owned the place gave us a lift. Normally we would've been suspicious, but he was much smaller than either of us, and therefore easily overpowered if need be. Best Chinese food I ever had was up a mountain in Switzerland.
